Helping Sri Lankan refugees return home

For 35 years, Sri Lankan families exiled by war have dreamed of returning home.

Living in a refugee camp can feel like a life sentence; not knowing when, or even if, you will ever leave. But with the civil war in Sri Lanka now over, many refugees have a glimmer of hope that they can make the return home.

Sadly, many barriers still stand in their way – no documentation, no home to return to, and no idea of what work opportunities will be available.

Through the support of people like you, Act for Peace’s local partner the Organisation for Eelam Refugees Rehabilitation (OfERR) is bringing new hope; empowering and supporting refugees to make the return and live a full life once again.
