As we’ve seen in Australia, it’s never been more important to tackle COVID-19 together.
While Australia has one of the world’s best healthcare systems, too many of our global neighbours are ill equipped to deal with a pandemic. Too many are in crisis.
We believe we must stand in solidarity with all our neighbours, and encourage our government to provide vital support to vulnerable nations.

There are no fences standing between any of us and COVID-19. It has affected us all.
But not equally.
Refugees, many living in cramped and overcrowded conditions, with limited access to food, healthcare or basic sanitation, are at greater risk of infection.
And the impact of lockdowns, job losses, and disruption to aid has led the World Food Program to warn that we are on the brink of ‘multiple famines of biblical proportions’.
The more churches like yours who stand in solidarity with our neighbours, the more encouragement our government will have to play its part in stopping the spread of the coronavirus in vulnerable nations.
