Help provide urgently needed practical support for communities affected by the earthquake in Afghanistan.
Over 1,000 people have been killed following three earthquakes which hit Afghanistan in early October.
On October 7th, 2023, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Western Afghanistan, the deadliest earthquake to hit the country in two decades. Two more earthquakes followed just three days later, further decimating the region.
Since the first earthquake struck on October 7, there has been over 1,000 deaths with many more injured or missing. There has been major structural damage, and entire houses, which were too fragile to withstand the quake, were reduced to rubble.
Act for Peace’s local partner are providing urgently needed items including food, hygiene and dignity kits, blankets, clothes, and materials to assist with repairing homes. With winter just around the corner, these are particularly crucial.
Please give today to help the people of Afghanistan affected by this devastating disaster.
