We all want to live in a better, fairer world – one where everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.
In the last generation, the global community has made great progress in confronting injustice around the world. Together, through Australian Aid, we've all played a part in this story.
Aid alone won't end poverty, but it's a practical way we can help the world's most promising people break down barriers and build a brighter future. That's why we're for Australian Aid.
Successive cuts to our aid budget have left Australian aid on a trajectory to its lowest level in 60 years. This has dramatically set back our national contribution to the crucial progress of reducing poverty and conflict.
Today, Australian Aid only represents 0.9% of total Government expenditure. We know that we can do better than that to support the development in our region and beyond.
We'll be in touch throughout the year with actions you can take and activities you can be involved in to help stand up for this national treasure.
Add your voice to the movement committed to a brighter future for Australian Aid.
Campaign for Australian Aid is supported by Act for Peace. It is a joint initiative of the Make Poverty History and Micah Challenge coalitions for all Australians who believe we can and should do more as a nation to end extreme poverty around the world.

Take the Act for Peace Ration Challenge and eat the same rations as a Syrian refugee during Refugee Week (June 2017). Raise money to support refugees who have lost everything, and challenge perspectives – including your own.
Right now, thousands of innocent people are fleeing Syria every day to protect their families from bloodshed, violence and death. We need your support to provide emergency relief packs to the families fleeing in Syria.
