How Gifts for Peace work?
When you buy a Gift for Peace
, the money supports long-term projects in those places where we supply the item you purchased. At least 80 per cent of the money will go directly to help people who need it. The rest will be spent on our essential running costs including postage and administration.
For example, if you purchase a Vegetable Garden, the money goes towards programs in countries where we provide farming support, training and supplies such as seeds – in this case, Zimbabwe. The country programs that each gift supports are written on each card.
For every Gift for Peace you order, you'll receive a colourful greeting card with a matching fridge magnet – so that your loved ones have a keepsake of your thoughtful gift. All cards tell a story about one of the programs where your gift is helping.

In the event of a particular item being over-subscribed, Act for Peace will redirect the money you have given to other activities in the same region, or to an equally worthwhile project.
What will I receive?
When you purchase a Gift for Peace
, you will receive a greeting card with beautiful images. All cards have a matching fridge magnet for your loved ones to keep as a memento of your gift to them. The greeting cards are 16.5cm by 10cm and are blank inside, offering plenty of space for a personalised message. They are delivered to you in their own stylish red envelope.
Is it tax deductible?
Yes. As the gift is a tax deductible donation to Act for Peace, you will receive a receipt in your name. The receipt cannot be made in the name of the person receiving the gift.
Receiving your Gift for Peace in the mail
How long until my card arrives?
Please allow two weeks for delivery of your card.
Can I have it sent directly to someone else?
We are only able to send the card to the person ordering the card when an order is placed online. We recommend receiving the gift yourself as each gift contains a card to let you pass it on with your own personal message!
