“ It was very scary in the war. We lived in fear. We used to hear the guns, the shooting and the killing. Thank God now we live safely and we are studying again.” - Alima,* a Syrian teenager.
$17 is a place in school for a girl.
Support a Syrian girl, now living in a refugee camp in Jordan, to go to school and receive an education.
ORDER YOUR GIFT
School attendance for Syrian girls is increasingly becoming a problem as girls drop out of the education system to help earn an income for their families. To compound this, some parents place a lesser value on the need for girl’s education, compared to boys.
It is so important that this generation of children do not miss out on education.
Your gift will help a Syrian girl stay in school with programs targeted to educate parents, and the girls themselves, of the importance of completing their education. These sessions focus on preparedness for school and follow up to ensure that girls are attending their lessons.
*Alima’s name has been changed to protect her identity.
