"Having goats has changed my life, I can now pay the school fees for my 3 children and feed my family.” - Shonani, Zimbabwe.
Your $50 gift will give two baby goats to a family to raise, and supplement their income by providing milk and cheese. When they grow up the goats can be bred and sold.
Give a Gift for Peace
Life in rural Zimbabwe can mean living with little food and an uncertain future. People living with a disability or the loss of the family breadwinner face even greater difficulties.
The gift of two baby goats can make a world of difference for a family in rural Zimbabwe who are facing these difficulties. Livestock such as goats increase the income of poor families in Zimbabwe, and help people with disabilities become financially independent. Goats can be sold to supplement household incomes when crops fail, and provide financial security. Goats are tougher than cattle, and when these babies grow up they can be bred and their kids sold to raise money when school supplies or medicine are needed.

Take the Act for Peace Ration Challenge and eat the same rations as a Syrian refugee during Refugee Week (June 2017). Raise money to support refugees who have lost everything, and challenge perspectives – including your own.
Right now, thousands of innocent people are fleeing Syria every day to protect their families from bloodshed, violence and death. We need your support to provide emergency relief packs to the families fleeing in Syria.
