The National Council of Churches in Australia

Act for Peace is the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA).

The NCCA is an ecumenical council of 19 member churches. Act for Peace is governed by the Act for Peace Commission.

The NCCA brings together churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures and commit themselves to deepen their relationship with each other in order to express more visibly the unity willed by Christ for his Church, and to work together towards the fulfilment of their mission of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

More ways to take action

Like all children, Alina has dreams for her future. Sadly, most children in rural Pakistan can’t get the education they need to realise their dreams and escape poverty.

Seven years on and Syrian refugees are still in urgent need of our help. Keep hope alive and help provide the food, medical care and support they need.

Together we raised over $3 million during Ration Challenge 2018 - enough to feed more than 10,000 refugees for a year!
