How you’re helping
Your support is helping Act for Peace’s partners, the Near East Council of Churches Department of Service to Palestinian Refugees (DSPR), operate three primary health care clinics in the Gaza Strip. These healthcare clinics provide vital services to vulnerable and economically disadvantaged people, including pre and post-natal care for mother and baby, nutritional support, the provision of free prescribed medicine and dental care and. Psychosocial support for new mothers and people who have suffered trauma helps to prevent serious mental health problems from developing in the future.
With your help, DSPR also delivers vocational training courses for youth including metal work, carpentry, secretarial and English language studies and dressmaking, to provide young people in Gaza with the practical skills and experience to gain employment and support themselves and their families.
