How we work

Refugee-led community gardening enabled Than, a Burmese refugee, to grow enough food for his family. Ben Littlejohn/Act for Peace

Together with passionate people like you, we’re working to confront injustice and create positive, sustainable change in communities around the world threatened by conflict and natural disaster.

By working in partnership with local people on the ground, we respond rapidly to emergency situations, protecting and saving lives when disaster strikes. Your support is also helping vulnerable communities across the world through long-term development projects, giving people the skills and knowledge they need to support and protect themselves.
