Fundraise

When you raise money for Act for Peace – whether it’s with friends, in your community, or at your local church – you’ll be helping some of the world’s poorest people to build a better future. Get started today with our fundraising tips and inspiration.

We believe in a world where all people have the chance to live at peace, free from unnecessary suffering. By fundraising for Act for Peace you will be helping us provide on-going support for communities most at risk from human conflict and natural disasters.

How you can raise money:

Get creative with your own event

Host a fun event that you know you and your friends will enjoy and add a fundraising twist. Keep it simple with anything from a BBQ, karaoke night, bake-athon, charity walk, to a rugby match and you can help spread the word for a good cause.

Get sponsored

Take on a challenge, the bigger the better. It can be as simple as giving up chocolate or as challenging as a marathon, getting your chest waxed, or a 24-hour sponsored silence. Get your friends and family behind you to achieve your goal.

Be a part of a local fundraising group

Get your local community together to help support children and families in desperate need. Act for Peace will give you all the help you need in organising local events and fundraising activities with other volunteers.

Hold a bucket collection

You can make a large contribution in just one day hitting the streets and collecting donations from the public.

Get your school or college involved

Get a student committee together to organise a charity event. Open mic nights, sausage sizzles or dress-down days, can all be great fun and a chance for student organisations to flourish.

Fundraise at work

Bring some good will into your office by holding a one off fundraiser with colleagues, choosing Act for Peace as your company’s charity of choice or take the opportunity for a great team-building experience through volunteering with us.

Clubs and Associations

If you’re part of a local group or network wanting to make a difference here is your chance. Partner with Act for Peace and we can help you achieve even more.

Church groups

Through collections and fundraising events you can draw on the compassion of your congregation to help ease the suffering of the most vulnerable and in need.

More ways to take action

You can help prevent children like Maala being born with chronic illnesses by helping pregnant women stay healthy and nourished in the first place.

Take the Act for Peace Ration Challenge and eat the same rations as a Syrian refugee during Refugee Week (June 2017). Raise money to support refugees who have lost everything, and challenge perspectives – including your own.

Right now, thousands of innocent people are fleeing Syria every day to protect their families from bloodshed, violence and death. We need your support to provide emergency relief packs to the families fleeing in Syria.
