Act for Peace in East Timor
Since 1983, our partner, Fusona – the development arm of the Protestant Church of East Timor (IPTL), has been working on community projects. The fighting for independence caused Fusona to commence an emergency program, including health, to help people returning from the mountains and West.
Some examples of Fusona’s work with communities include:
- Small Business loans for kiosks sewing groups
- Agriculture, with one coffee group and two corn groups
- A water rehabilitation group
- Animal Husbandry with a pig and chicken group
- A Health Clinic with a mobile service.
