Act for Peace in Uganda
Act for Peace's project partners are working with project partners to improve the lives of the Ugandans who are returning to their homelands in the north. We are focusing on helping to provide access to safe water and increasing hygiene and sanitation within these communities so the risk of infection due to water borne diseases decreases. Healthcare will also be improved via work to reduce malaria and awareness and social support for those infected with HIV/AIDS.
Our project partners are also working to create better access to food in these communities until they begin to produce food on their own. In the meantime, our partners are providing courses in education and the training with tools and seeds necessary for successful agriculture.
