Vocational Training

$50 will offer vocational training.
Give a gift of vocational training to a vulnerable young person in Gaza (the Occupied Palestinian Territories), or to a refugee living in Jordan.

"My father encouraged me to join the vocational training centre to increase my experience in my profession. It enhanced my experience and ability in practising the craft and I was offered an on-the job training opportunity in a workshop close to home. I am now the manager of this workshop ” -Mohammed, a graduate of one of the vocational training centres run by Act for Peace’s project partner in Gaza.

Living without training and job opportunities can have a devastating impact on household income and the ability to feed, clothe and support a family. But vocational training programs can give trainees the experience, qualifications, and materials they need to get a job or start a small business. The skills they gain build their self-reliance and reduce their dependency on aid.

Your gift of $50 will provide a person with the vocational training they need to secure paid employment or establish a small business. It will help provide them with practical skills and experience so that they can support themselves and their families.
How Gifts for Peace work

More ways to take action

Right now, children are starving to death in South Sudan. Please give an urgent gift today to halt this famine before it kills even more children.

Take the Act for Peace Ration Challenge and eat the same rations as a Syrian refugee during Refugee Week (June 2018). Raise money to support refugees who have lost everything, and challenge perspectives – including your own.

Right now, thousands of innocent people are fleeing Syria every day to protect their families from bloodshed, violence and death. We need your support to provide emergency relief packs to the families fleeing in Syria.
