“The women tell me that having a job to do each day and being able to contribute to the family income transforms their time here.” - Mujdellen – Trainer in Home Economics. DSPR – Jordan.
This gift will give a Syrian refugee woman a new start in life with small business skills and training in kitchen production, which will help her with future employment.
Many women and their families arrive in Jordan with nothing but the clothes on their backs having left behind not only their possessions but their livelihoods and community too.
Your gift gives refugee women in Jordan very practical training in kitchen production and home economics. The training gives them new skills which will help them to earn an income now and find work when it is safe to return home.
The goal of the kitchen production and home economics training program is to encourage women to think beyond their current limitations. With new skills these women can generate an income to support their families.
