“We hope for Syria to be stable and secure again. We want to go back to Syria again and live in security and stability with our family. Our home town is very precious to us and we just want our home again. A big thank you to the Australian people.” - Maya,* a Syrian refugee in Jordan.
This gift will help provide warm clothing for children who were forced to flee the war in Syria.
When refugees flee they often leave everything behind: their homes, their belongings and jobs. Arriving in temporary camps they are in desperate need of shelter, clothing, water and food, and it can often be years before it is safe for them to return home.
Jordan hosts approximately 656,000 of Syria’s refugees. Unsettled and with facing challenges in securing work, hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees struggle to provide for their families. This gift provides essential clothing to children and babies to keep them warm and protected from the cold while they wait to return safely home.
*Maya’s* name has been changed to protect her identity as a refugee.

Take the Act for Peace Ration Challenge and eat the same rations as a Syrian refugee during Refugee Week (19-26 June 2016). Raise money to support refugees who have lost everything, and challenge perspectives – including your own.
Right now, thousands of innocent people are fleeing Syria every day to protect their families from bloodshed, violence and death. We need your support to provide emergency relief packs to the families fleeing in Syria.
