Act for Peace is an active member of the global ACT Alliance which is at work in over 140 countries. Because of this unique alliance, we are able to respond to the most critical humanitarian emergencies almost immediately in a concerted effort with our partners.

Once we have helped provide immediate assistance we work with communities to rebuild lives and help them better prepare for disasters in the future.   •     Pakistan Floods Emergency Appeal
    In July 2010, the worst monsoon floods to ever hit Pakistan forced millions of people to leave their homes for safety and left a trail of destroyed houses, water-supply schemes, farmland and infrastructure. Read More

    Act for Peace’s local partner in Chile undertook emergency response and recovery work in response to the massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit central Chile in February 2010, killing over 700 people. Read More
     
  •     Haiti Earthquake Appeal
    In January 2010, a massive earthquake struck Haiti, causing unprecedented destruction and catastrophic loss of life. Act for Peace responded immediately to the disaster to provide relief assistance, including food and non-food items, shelter, water and sanitation, psychosocial support and health care.
