Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct for Non-Government Organisations
Act for Peace is an active member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) and a signatory to its Code of Conduct. We are committed to adhering to its high standards of corporate governance, public accountability and financial management. The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct is a voluntary, self-regulatory industry code. It includes sections on aid and development effectiveness, relationships with partners, human rights, advocacy, and emergency management. Signatories are required to have their own complaints handling process and demonstrate compliance with the code before they are eligible to obtain accreditation with the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), the Australian Government’s overseas aid program. Compliance is met by submitting an annual report for assessment against established criteria and completing a self-assessment process designed by ACFID.
The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) accreditation
Act for Peace has been fully accredited by the
Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) since accreditation began in 1997. AusAID is the Australian Government agency responsible for managing Australia’s overseas aid program. The accreditation process provides AusAID and the Australian public with confidence that where the Australian Government provides grants to Australian NGOs to implement their own aid and development programs, it is funding professional, well-managed, community-based organisations capable of delivering good development outcomes.
Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP)
Act for Peace is a member of the
Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), the humanitarian sector's first international self-regulatory body. Members of HAP are committed to meeting the highest standards of accountability and quality management.

Act for Peace is affiliated with
ACT Alliance, by whose code of conduct we are bound.
