Our Governing Body
Members of the CWS Commission, the governing body of Act for Peace, are appointed by the National Council of Churches in Australia during its Forum. Current Commission members are as follows:

Liz Stone has worked in the international aid sector, overseas and in Australia, for over 20 years. Most of her work has been with Caritas International of the Catholic Church, including for CAFOD-UK in Ethiopia and Harare; with the CI General Secretariat in Rome as the post-Asia tsunami programs coordinator and with Caritas Australia in Sydney as regional program coordinator for Africa and The Pacific and, more recently, as national Manager, Community Engagement.
Evan Ellis (Catholic Church)
Social justice coordinator for Catholic Diocese of Parramatta. Evan has a degree in media and communications and was previously employed by Caritas Australia as the World Youth Day Coordinator, Special Projects Officer and Communications Officer respectively. Over his time with Caritas he travelled to South Asia and South America to document the life changing effect aid and development can have.
