Development Officer – Adelaide Location
We are seeking someone to, in collaboration with the Member Churches of the SA & the WA Council of Churches, fundraise for and promote Act for Peace projects through the Christmas Bowl appeal, Act for Peace Partners (regular giving program) and emergency appeals. Who We Are
Act for Peace is the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia. We empower communities to act for peace wherever conflicts occur by working with long-term project partners in helping communities to provide protection, prevent further conflict, manage disasters and reduce poverty.
We also work across Australia by encouraging support for our partners throughout the year, when conflicts break out and particularly at Christmas time through our largest church driven appeal, the Christmas Bowl.
Act for Peace’s national office is located in Sydney, though we do have some staff located in offices around Australia. Act for Peace is committed to the protection of children and does not employ staff whose background is not suitable for working with children. All employment is conditional upon the successful completion of all applicable background checks, including criminal record checks.
